Enagic® LeveLukSD 501 U

The Enagic® SD 501 U tested barely above average overall. It has adequate power, but the design used is a poor attempt at re-engineering the SD501 to sit under the counter. Like the SD501, it is necessary to use a chemical enhancer* in order to reach any significant readings in pH or ORP. It does have 7 plates but only a single internal filter, which leaves the final Alkaline water less than optimal.

It’s performance was similar to units of half the price, and $4,980.00 is far more expensive than many comparable systems tested.

*We have recently learned that these enhancers contain chemicals that are poisonous if consumed while not diluted in water.
